What It Is
ChapterTest, also called Chapter Wise Test, is a website (chaptertest.in) that generates multiple-choice question (MCQ) practice tests for individual chapters of Indian school and competitive-exam syllabuses, using AI language models rather than a human-written question bank. It separately hosts a browsable archive of real board-exam and NEET previous year question papers, each solved independently by AI with a written explanation for every answer.
It is a web application only — there is no mobile app. It is used directly through a browser on desktop or mobile.

What It Provides
- Chapter-wise AI-generated MCQ tests — a fixed set of questions per chapter, four options each, taken in a timed session with instant scoring and a written explanation for every question after submission.
- Previous year question paper archive — 611 full board-exam papers (2011–2026) and 14,876 NEET previous-year questions, each solved by AI rather than copied from a published answer key. Full papers are visible to anyone; solutions are shown only to logged-in students registered in the matching grade.
- A student account and dashboard — registration is required to take a timed exam session or view previous-paper solutions; past attempts, scores, and a question-dispute mechanism are recorded against the account.
- Three subscription tiers — Free (3 exam sessions), Active (₹350/year, 12 sessions), and Pro (₹899/year, unlimited sessions). Plan upgrades are currently activated manually by the operator, not by automated payment processing.
Target Students
The platform is built for school students in India, roughly Grade 6 through Grade 12, studying under one of the boards listed below, plus students preparing separately for NEET (medical entrance) or JEE Main/Advanced (engineering entrance). It is not built for university-level study, professional certification, or non-Indian curricula outside IGCSE.

Technology
- Application: built on Laravel (PHP) with a MySQL database; server-rendered pages, no dedicated mobile app.
- Question generation: MCQs are generated by large language models (Claude and OpenAI/ChatGPT models, selected per curriculum) from the chapter's syllabus topic — not written or reviewed by a human question-setter before publication.
- Previous-year papers: source PDFs are converted to text, split into individual questions, and each question is solved independently by AI; any answer circled by the original exam candidate in the scanned source is explicitly ignored during solving.
- Current scale: 63,187 AI-generated questions on the platform in total, across chapter-wise practice and previous-year papers combined.
