Most platforms recycle the same fixed question bank, so students eventually memorise patterns instead of concepts. Chapter Wise Test generates a fresh set of AI questions every session, so practice never runs dry. We are also strictly chapter-focused rather than a broad topic jumble — the same way Indian board exams are actually structured — and every wrong answer comes with an AI-written explanation, not just an answer key.

Coverage generally spans Class 6 through Class 12, though the exact classes available depend on the board — some boards currently offer a subset while more grades are added over time. Your registered grade determines which chapters you can see and test on.

Core subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Social Science, English, Computer Science and Accountancy are covered, depending on your class and board. New subjects and chapters are added regularly — if something is missing for your grade, use the "Request a subject" link on the home page or contact us.

Register free, select your grade and board, then pick a subject and chapter. Start the timed test, answer the AI-generated MCQs, and submit — your score, percentage, letter grade and a full breakdown of correct/incorrect answers with explanations appear instantly on screen and in your dashboard.

A standard chapter test is 10 multiple-choice questions, timed at up to 20 minutes, spanning a mix of easy, medium, high and pro-level difficulty so you get a well-rounded check of your understanding.

Once enough fresh questions are available across all chapters of a subject, you can also take a larger 30-question Mixed Chapter Test (30-minute time limit) that draws from every chapter of that subject — useful for full-subject revision closer to your exams, not just single-chapter practice.

Up to 3 attempts per chapter. Because every attempt generates a fresh set of AI questions, retaking a chapter gives you new question angles each time rather than repeating what you've already seen.

Questions are generated by AI trained on official textbook and syllabus content for each chapter, using leading models from our AI partners — Claude by Anthropic, GPT by OpenAI and Gemini by Google. It's unlikely. The AI generates a new combination of questions for every session, so retaking a chapter test typically surfaces different questions and angles on the same concept rather than an identical repeat.

Yes — every question, right or wrong, comes with an AI-written explanation of the correct answer, shown the moment you submit. This is designed to help you understand the "why" behind each answer, not just whether you got it right.

Free (₹0, 3 exam sessions), Active (₹350/year, 12 exam sessions plus score analytics and email notifications), and Pro (₹899/year, unlimited sessions plus analytics, email and WhatsApp notifications, and priority support). Once your 3 free sessions are used, you can upgrade to Active or Pro at any time from your dashboard or the Plans page to keep practising. Your existing account, grade and history carry over automatically — you don't need to register again.

Paid plans run for a fixed 1-year validity and cannot be cancelled mid-term since digital access is granted in full immediately upon activation. Unused sessions do not carry forward once a plan expires. If you need help with your plan, contact admin@chaptertest.in.

Payments are processed securely through PayU, a widely used and trusted Indian payment gateway supporting cards, UPI, net banking and wallets. We never store your card or bank details on our servers — that's handled entirely by PayU's secure checkout.

Chapter Wise Test is a digital service, so paid plans are non-refundable once activated — we recommend trying the Free Plan first to evaluate the platform before purchasing. The only exceptions are genuine payment errors, such as a duplicate charge or a charge without plan activation, which we'll investigate if reported within 7 days. Active plan students receive email notifications for exam results. Pro plan students receive both email and WhatsApp notifications. The Free Plan does not include result notifications — you can always view your results directly in your dashboard.

Yes. chaptertest.in is fully mobile-responsive and works on any modern browser — smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. There is no app to download, so you can start practising immediately on whichever device you have to hand.
